I am awake, I am alive, and this morning all I am thinking is … I am ready.

Today, I am ready for all the joy that Creator, family, friends, and colleagues send my way for I no longer fear joy. Now I breathe it in and allow it to expand every cell in my body. Yes, I am ready for joy.

And I am ready to work, having seen my parents before me work. I know what results from consistent effort for my life today is a result of such effort. But I want more so simply put, I will do more. Yes, I am ready to work.

And I am ready for any challenge that may come up. I know some may bring me to my knees but it wouldn’t be the first time for that either. If nothing else, 57 years has taught me how resilient I am and how, no matter how many times I get knocked down, I have the ability to get back up (thank you Covid lockdown measures).

But in spite of past challenges, I do not fear today. Rather, I welcome it, as the child in me always has. Who will messsage? Who will call? Who will inspire me? Who can I inspire?

Only Creator knows but I am ready to find out.
