Day 175 – Can’t Go Back

.

I am awake, I am alive, and as I think back on the places, events, and people of my recent and distant past, I nod as I think to myself, “It’s true, you can’t go back”.

You can’t go back to before you said the words.

You can’t go back to before you did what you did.

You can’t go back to before you left or before he/she/they left.

You just can’t. Which is why it is so vitally important to choose before the word, the deed, or the decision because once said or did or made, you can’t ever go back to who you once were.

Make sure that is never a bad thing.

Me? I miss her and him. I miss places and yes, sometimes I wish I had handled things differently but that is judging a younger-me with an older-me’s wisdom and Mama warned to never, ever do that.

So the journey continues. I am older, wiser, more experienced thanks to the word heard or said, the deed done or not done, the people here or now gone and I wouldn’t change a thing about this woman I have become.

So thank you to all those who have listened, who saw the triumph or the fall, those who walk or walked with me if even just for a short time. I needed you to be me so thank you.

Thank you.

.

I love you! HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSS
