Day 30 – A Stormy Night!
I am awake, I am alive and this morning I am smiling at all those times we use the phrase “Well, THAT’s the definition of …”
You know what I mean. Someone gives a great speech and we respond with, “Well, THAT’s the definition of a leader!” or someone does something incredibly compassionate and we say, “Well, THAT’s the definition of an amazing human being!”
On and on it goes, but this morning I am smiling as I am wondering what is the definition of an adult human who thinks they can sleep in the same room as an 8-week old kitten?
Well, THAT’s the definition of …
– silliness
– foolhardiness
– an uninformed pet owner
What do you think the answer should be? I’m not sure. All I know for sure is at midnight, we went to bed (after I finished watching my movie. Stormy was already asleep. Mistake #1). At 1 a.m. we were still debating whether this was a good time to sleep (as opposed to play). At 5 a.m. Stormy decided it was definitely play time now. At 6 a.m. we were still debating that decision. At 7 a.m. I gave in, got up, got dressed, only to go back to bed when he wasn’t looking.
But then, MAGIC happened! You see Oreo (my furmate for many years) enjoyed BODY HEAT. She happily fell asleep on my tummy and I simply agreed not to move. It worked. But Stormy prefers MY FACE which he must be leaning on, playing with, attacking, or snuggling up against (and let’s not even talk about his discovery of my long hair). BUT at 8 a.m. this morning, Stormy curled on my tummy and fell asleep. We just got up. Don’t judge.
The journey continues! Pray for me! lol
I love you! HUGSSSSSSSSS
