I am awake, I am alive, and I am smiling as I remember an ageless saying, used more often to reference physical ability, but somehow so fitting in my world right now …
“If you don’t use it, you lose it”.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I do not in ANY way regret my time off. But having said that, my office work routine most often represents a finely tuned machine, allowing me to spit out report after email after invoice.
Yesterday, not so much.
Yesterday can only be described as painful, as my assistant and I attempted to remember where things were, what needed to be done, what we should improve with the new year and more HOW do get things done.
By day’s end, frustration was the only thing I felt but this morning, I am smiling as my brain is once again firing on all cylinders, resulting in a clear vision of the day ahead. I am certain, today will run as smoothly as always.
All I have to do is once again use my talents, gifts, and skills.
Which brings me to you my friend and one simple question – are you? On the daily, are you using your talents, gifts and skills for the benefit of yourself and others that matter to you? Are you speaking your truth, if the word is your gift? Are you caring and sharing, if that is what you are known for or did you let someone else convince you not to, essentially giving them your Creator-gifted abilities?
I pray you are my friend, I pray you are honouring and using all your gifts. Simply because that my friend, is why you are here.
We need you and yes, we need your gifts.
Food for thought my friend.
I love you! HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Sandi
