“We can have everything we want, if and only if, we are willing to work hard enough to get it.”

This variation of my Dad’s near daily reminder dances in my head this morning as I reflect on last night’s event with the council for the Municipality of Greenstone. Rarely does an event go so late. Rarely is a group so willing to put in such a long day but last night, the council did.

So much to learn, so much to consider, so much for so many but as with any journey or task, it is completed one step at a time. Last night they took a step. When and how they take the next will be entirely up to them.

But I have faith. If only one or two receive new understanding at a session, that is one or two more allies and that is worth the work.

So today, my journey continues, literally and figuratively. First, the drive home. Then some rest because tomorrow I have the next event to prepare for.

Which begs the question, what are YOU doing today my friend, what step towards reconciliation are you taking?

Silence is acceptance. Nothing changes if you change nothing so please, help me to change things, even some small little thing so that my granddaughter need not be giving the same seminar 20 years from now.
